Expert hearing care for Connecticut.
Meet the Team
Michelle Colburn, Au.D., CCC-A
Director of Audiology
Serving: West Hartford
“I consider myself fortunate to have graduated in the inaugural Doctor of Audiology class at one of the US News and World Report’s top Audiology programs. Having had the opportunity to spend an additional 11 years on faculty at the University of Florida allowed me to further refine my skills and learn from leaders in the Audiology field. I look forward to bringing this knowledge and over 15 years of experience to help every patient at Solinsky Hearing Center hear what they’ve been missing.”
Dr. Colburn and her husband can usually be found at a game or tournament for her two teenage daughters who are very active in different sporting activities. She also enjoys reading, home improvement projects, and spending time with her family and dogs.
Briana Ricco, Au.D., CCC-A
Doctor of Audiology
Serving: Enfield, Glastonbury, and West Hartford
“Working as an audiologist in a busy practice is a challenging experience that allows me to help many people with a variety of hearing issues. Hearing loss can have a tremendous impact on a person’s daily activities, sometimes causing them to stop doing the things in life that they enjoy. I am able to use my knowledge and clinical experience to improve their quality of living and reconnect them to the things they have once loved. I am very excited to be a part of Solinsky Hearing Center, and I am looking forward to the incredibly rewarding experience of helping every patient through their hearing journey starting with their very first steps.”
Dr. Ricco enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, and traveling.

She even had the opportunity of completing her fall rotation as a student clinician at Solinsky Hearing Center under the guidance of Dr. Michelle Colburn. Now, she enjoys how every day is different. Ben is a second-generation Hearing Instrument Specialist. He began his career helping those suffering with hearing loss at his family’s clinics in San Antonio, Texas. This is where it was instilled in him to treat and view each patient as a member of his own family.
He met his wife while they were both doing relief work after Hurricane Katrina and moved to New England shortly after they got married and are very happy to call it home.
Ben’s genuine passion is to give people the gift of better hearing and he is entirely dedicated to utilizing his skill set, the latest technology, and old-fashioned care and compassion to make sure his patients don’t miss out on a single precious moment of their lives.
Ben enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife, Amy, engaging in volunteer work together and exploring the great outdoors of New England.
