What to Expect at Your First Appointment
Our goal is to not only understand your hearing loss, but to help you understand your whole hearing health. That’s why we always start every appointment with a conversation to get to know you and answer any of your questions.
Once we’ve verbally gone over your health history, then we will perform an ear exam by looking with an otoscope at your ear canal and eardrum. If you have impacted earwax that is affecting your hearing, we can remove that in office.
Then begins the hearing test. We will assess your ability to hear sounds at different frequencies and how well you can hear speech in noise and quiet.
We will go over your audiogram with you (the results of your hearing test) and answer any questions. If you could benefit from amplification, we will discuss some hearing aid options that will suit you.
Preferred Provider for the NFL Players Association
Solinsky Hearing Center is a preferred hearing care provider for the NFL Players Association’s Professional Athletes Foundation. Through this partnership, the PAF aims to bring better hearing to former professional athletes and their fans across the nation. Together, we spread awareness, help players in need of hearing care, and collected data on the connection between hearing loss and professional football.
